Gravity Flip is a game heavily inspired by the likes of Portal and Portal 2. Which are very fun and interesting brain teasing puzzle games that revolve around one simple game mechanic that allows the player to use to the best of their ability. Portals!


For Gravity Flip, I took that same idea and instead used Gravity as my one simple game mechanic for the player to use as best they can. This was a simple reverse gravity, however, it would reverse gravity not only for you, but also for all of the little puzzle pieces you used, such as pickup blocks and the golden balls used to open and close doors.


Currently with this game, I am still on the fence as to whether I want to continue taking it through 3D and vastly broaden the levels, whilst adding some extra mechanics, or switching it to 2D to make the puzzles a lot more visual, therefore requiring a lot more thought put into them from my end to maintain how challenging they are without hiding things from the players as easily as I could in 3D.


The goal of producing this game was to improve my level designing skills (which definitely still need improvement) and was to step away from trying to make the game look pretty as that was something I put way too much focus on within my previous projects.
